High School Trigonometry via Distance Learning...It Really Can Work! LIVE IVDL class session from Bluffton, Ohio! See how one teacher's desire to re-energize a trigonometry lesson, developed into a yearly IVDL session for a high school trigonometry class. This session is an example of using IVDL to import a guest instructor who presents a role-playing excersise that requires students to apply trigonometry formulas to reach a critical decision.

Out of this World without Leaving Class Learn how the Challenger Learning Center (CLC) simulation Moon, Mars, and Beyond turn students into active problem-solvers. Elementary students assume the roles of scientists within three specialist teams: Transmission Team, Navigation Team or Cargo Team. The students are assigned to one of five outer planet teams during the distance-learning videoconference.

Hola, Amigos: A Primary Language and Culture Exchange With Mexico This session will demonstrate the integration of technology with foreign language, English language arts and social studies through an interactive culture and language exchange. A kindergarten class in East Liverpool will connect to their friends at Instituto Thomas Jefferson to share their pilot model lessons and demonstrate the effectiveness of videoconferencing for student learning.

Chapters: A Collaborative Online and Videoconference Writing Project Chapters is a collaborative web-based and videoconference writing activity. Participants will be entertained by this learning activity and will be given guidelines on how to implement a Chapters project or join the existing project.
