1) TOWN HALL SPEAKER SERIES PRESENTS: T.R. REID, THE UNITED STATES OF EUROPE AND THE END OF AMERICAN SUPREMACY
WVIZ/PBS and NOTA in conjunction with the Town Hall of Cleveland will be presenting an hour with NBC Washington Post columnist T. R. Reid on Monday, January 23 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Plan to have your students meet with the Mr. Reid via the NOTA and/or ATM distance learning networks. Students of the Town Hall Youth Council will host the program.
If you are interested in your students participating in this program contact John Ramicone at 216-739-3940 or jramicone@wviz.org by January 18th to reserve a NOTA or ATM connection slot. Based upon the number of schools participating an email address and/or dial-in phone number/will be available during the program for your students to ask questions of Ms. O’Donnell.

Join Paul Hieronymus and Bridget Ereditario from Avon Heritage South Elementary School on a virtual tour of Blogs. Thursday January 12, at 3:30 on Ohio’s ATM video network Paul and Bridget will share the many ways that Blogs can be used for parent communication, to enhance class projects, to create web based distance learning applications and to enhance written expression. They will walk teachers through the creation of a Blog and how easily they can be maintained. Bridget will show her students Blogs and discuss the advantages they have had on Language Arts Classes. Here are 2 new interactive distance learning programs for your districts, as well as a few favorites from the past year which work great with the upcoming winter holidays.
